What to Expect from your first contact to picking your pet up at the end of their stay

Before booking your first stay with us

We recommend visiting with your pet before booking to ensure comfort with our boarding environment. During this visit, your dog can meet us and explore our home and outdoor areas. We’ll discuss their needs, behavior, and activity levels.

Ensure your dog’s vaccinations are up to date and provide a digital copy of their record. Check our safety tab for more details.

For emergency stays, we will assess if your pet is a good fit and accept pets on a case-by-case basis if space allows.

We value transparency in our booking request form and recommend a visit beforehand if possible. We determine playgroups based on size, age, and play style. We provide safe, supervised play indoors and outdoors, with dogs returning to private kennels for meals and sleep, unless otherwise arranged.

Please pack necessary medications, supplements, and treats. We handle various medical needs (see “Policies” tab). Pack enough food for the stay, with extra for increased activity. We can accommodate various meal types with provided instructions. Keeping your pet on their current diet is recommended to avoid digestive issues.

During your dogs stay

Dropping off your pet for boarding can be hard and we realize that. We ask that you carefully drive up to our property and watch for dogs, and/or other animals such as chickens. We will make every effort to make dropping off your pet as smooth as possible for all parties and send an update as soon as they have settled in. Thereafter, updates will be provided via individual text with photos and/or videos. If you do not wish to receive daily updates just let us know, and we can provide updates upon request from owner.

Your dog will spend the day doing whatever they love to do with their time. They will have access to play in secure fenced areas, swim around in kiddy pools, play with a variety of chew-proof toys, sun bathe, explore the property (pending owner permission and only under supervision), or lounge around in our home for as many naps as they would like. For dogs with good recall that do not display a flight risk, they are welcome to come with us for swimming in the large duck pond further on the property, and all the private open trail.

We will work with owners that have pets with high anxiety or are not properly socialized. We are able to provide separate accommodations for dog that does not do well with other dogs. We have experience slowly integrating dogs who need more one-on-one care.

Doggy Playtime

We provide play breaks throughout the day that are supervised and extremely interactive. These play breaks are in our fenced areas of the prorpty. We only allow “free roaming” with explicit owner permission if they know that their dogs have good recall and are not a flight risk. By boarding with us, owners should acknowledge that there is always a risk when choosing to put your dog out with other dogs and agree not to hold us responsible for any injuries resulting from playtime. We have a beautifully wooded property, with a large pond that we love to see dogs wrestling through, but it comes with some risks and owners should understand that accidents can happen even with supervision. We are not responsible for illness or injury that could occur.

At the end of your dogs stay

Each guest will receive a complementary wash and dry, with a good brush-out prior to leaving. We can also provide nail clipping and dental brushing if your pet and time allows.

Please communicate with us the time which you plan to pickup. We would appreciate a review after your first stay as well as updates once your pet is back home after a long stay. Expect your pet to be much more tired than usual, as they readjust to a less stimulating environment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE

  • ALL PICKUPS AND DROP-OFFS MUST BE SCHEDULED DURING OPERATING HOURS

  • Safety for everyone involved is always a priority.

  • All STAYS must be paid for in-full 30 days prior to drop-off day. This is to prevent no-shows that could have otherwise been given to a pup on the waitlist. Make sure you book ahead of time to ensure we have the space for your pet, as we can only book a limited number of pets to ensure quality care to all.

  • You should be comfortable with your pet being photographed during their stay with us. We reserve the right to use the images and videos we take doing your pets stay with us for our website, social media, and other advertisement avenues.

  • We care for only limited number of pets at a time to ensure that all pets receive quality care. All the pets that we accept into our boarding program must be friendly towards people. We will not accept a pet into our boarding program that we cannot safety accommodate or that do not allow us to care for them. For the protection of your pet, all pets in our care, and our children, aggressive animals cannot be accommodated. Should your pet show any signs of aggression while in our care, your pet will not be allowed to return. If you are aware of such behavior being from your pet, or certain triggers, we have an expectation that we thoroughly discuss the needs and temperament of your dog prior to booking initially so we can discuss various care options.

  • We operate with a strict cancelation policy. We understand that plans can change suddenly due to emergencies so please communicate with us as soon you know you won’t be able to keep your reservation. This means your spot can be opened up to another client on the waitlist. We ask that we are notified 48 hours in advance or a 50% cancelation fee will be applied.

  • Pets checking out must be picked up by closing time on departure day; otherwise they will be boarded for another night at their current nightly rate. By boarding with us you agree that in the event that charges are not paid in full at time of pick up that the pet will not be released to the owner until such time that payment is made in full.

  • While extremely uncommon, we may at our own discretion, refuse to provide boarding to a pet coming into care. If we initially take in a pet that we determine later is not suitable to be boarded with us, we may thereafter refuse reservations. If we determine a pet that we’ve taken in shows signs of illness or poses a safety risk, I can request for the immediate pickup or transfer of the dog to a different boarding facility which we will help setup.

  • While we focus on safety, medical emergencies can occur happen at any time. We work with local veterinarians that can provide medical services should your pet experience a medical condition that would require veterinary care or supervision. If an emergency or illness occurs, we will attempt to contact you and/or your emergency contact immediately. If we are unable to connect, we would act as your pets medical proxy to make decisions following the advice of the doctor on call at the emergency hospital of our choice. You agree to pay for all costs associated with necessary veterinary care and we are not held responsible when deferring to the advice of a veterinarian.
